High Sheriff's Initiative Fund
The High Sheriff Initiative encourages the development of projects which bring people closer to their communities to create a more cohesive society. It seeks to help communities and people within Northamptonshire realise their potential, creating stronger and safer communities and reducing crime and anti-social behaviour. The programme will make awards of up to £5000.
This year the Northamptonshire High Sheriff’s Initiative Fund's focus will be on tackling serious youth violence and your project proposal must cover one of the following themes:
Preventative: Projects working with vulnerable families and communities to reduce childhood adversity
Early intervention: Projects working with at risk or excluded children and young people
Intervention: Projects working with young people at risk of offending or re-offending in relation to violent crime
The Fund is open to new and existing projects, as well as projects which are led by young people.
Northamptonshire Community Foundation will receive expressions of interest for 2022 during June of this year. If your expression of interest is shortlisted your organisation will be asked to be involved in a project visit at the end of July and funding decisions announced at the start of August.
The Programme will open for expressions of interest on Wednesday 1 June and close at Midday on Friday 10 June. Please complete an expression of interest form, which you can access here, and email it to: alex@ncf.uk.com

Rose of Northamptonshire Awards nomination criteria
Burton Wold Community Wind Farm Fund
The Burton Wold Community Wind Farm Fund has been established on behalf of Laing Construction to provide grants to projects which benefit residents in the parishes of Burton Latimer and Cranford around the wind farm site.
Yelvertoft Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund
The Yelvertoft Wind farm Community Benefit Fund has been established to provide grants to projects which benefit residents in the parishes of Clay Coton, Crick, Lilbourne or Yelvertoft.
Winwick Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund
The Winwick Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund has been established on behalf of Cubico Sustainable Investments to provide grants to projects which benefit residents in the parishes of Winwick, Cold Ashby, West Haddon and Guilsborough.
The Northampton Queen's Institute Relief Fund
The Northampton Queens Institute Fund will offer one-off grants up to £5000 for projects based in Northampton that are all about improving health and wellbeing.
The Compton Fund
The Compton Fund wish to support arts, culture and heritage projects across Northamptonshire. The fund will offer awards between £500 and £5000.
Projects will be considered across a range of arts, culture and heritage based projects.
Margaret Giffen Community Fund
The Margaret Giffen Community Fund supports projects up to £3000 tackling disadvantage and poverty across Corby, Kettering and North Northamptonshire.
KHL Big Local Community Chest Fund
The KHL Big Local – Community Chest Fund will offer grants of £250 to £5000 for projects that are all about improving the wellbeing of residents based in Kingswood and Hazel Leys in Corby.

Poverty Hurts Fund
Northamptonshire Community Foundation has launched the Poverty Hurts Fund to help tackle increasing poverty and the impact of the current cost of living crisis for some of our most vulnerable local residents and those already experiencing financial distress. It aims to ensure that people who have been impacted by poverty can access support from local organisations.
Constance Travis Endowment Fund for Northamptonshire
Northamptonshire Community Foundation is delighted to launch the Constance Travis Endowment Fund for Northamptonshire to help build a sustainable and safe future for Northamptonshire communities.
Northamptonshire Creative Climate Action Fund
Northamptonshire Community Foundation is delighted to launch the Northamptonshire Creative Climate Action Fund funding programme to provide a large and impactful grant award of up to £50,000 for up to three local projects for activity to support creative projects that build awareness around climate change and encourage people to make behavioural changes to protect the environment in Northamptonshire.

Cecil Pettit Legacy Fund
Cecil Pettit was one of the founding members of Ability Northants, a charity dedicated to enriching the lives of people living with disabilities.
Following his passing in 2000, a legacy fund was established to carry on Cecil Pettit's good work. This fund is managed and facilitated by Northamptonshire Community Foundation, with the aim to fund projects supporting people living with disabilities.
