June Community Heroes

Each month, we celebrate Community Heroes across Northamptonshire. These organisations are working tirelessly to improve the lives of our county's most vulnerable residents, and we're very proud to support them.
To read more about each Hero, have a look at our Community Hero of the Week column in the Northampton Chronicle & Echo, published every Thursday.
Everyday English
Everyday English exists to support people who do not have English as their first language, to break down language barriers and to create social integration and cohesion. Their first Community Conversation Café took place in 2017, and these have since become lively spaces where people come together to exchange languages and culture.

Clubs for Young People Northamptonshire
Clubs for Young People Northamptonshire has been providing and improving youth provisions across the county for more than fifty years.
The charity works closely with communities in Northamptonshire to ensure that all children aged 8 – 19 can access safe, fun and enjoyable activities designed to support their physical, social and intellectual development.

The Spring Charity
The Spring Charity offers community services for local families to gain opportunities to improve their wellbeing and life outcomes, including their Family Breakfast Club.
The breakfast club runs every morning to give hungry parents and caregivers who are experiencing food poverty a safe and non-judgmental place to come for breakfast. Families are encouraged to come together, share food and recipes, and find community.

SENDsational Families CIC
SENDsational Families CIC was founded by SEND parents, for SEND parents and carers.
The organisation’s core mission is to reduce isolation amongst vulnerable caregivers and to enhance the overall wellbeing of those raising children with special educational needs and disabilities.
