More than 20 charities, voluntary organisations and community groups from across Northamptonshire will be celebrated next month at Northamptonshire Community Foundation's Annual Awards evening.
The event, which will take place at the Royal & Derngate, recognises the outstanding work taking place across the county to strengthen communities, improve wellbeing, tackle inequalities and create opportunities for local people.
The Annual Awards shine a spotlight on organisations making a meaningful difference to the lives of Northamptonshire residents, often through the dedication of volunteers, staff and community leaders working tirelessly behind the scenes.
This year's event comes as Northamptonshire Community Foundation celebrates its 25th anniversary. Over the past quarter century, the Foundation has distributed more than £25 million in grants to grassroots organisations across the county, helping local groups deliver vital support where it is needed most.
Awards will be presented across five categories: Building Better Communities, Celebrating Culture and Heritage, Excellence in Education, Happy and Healthy Communities, and Tackling Inequalities.
Rachel McGrath, Chief Executive of Northamptonshire Community Foundation, said: "As we approach our Annual Awards, a key highlight in our calendar, we look forward to celebrating the remarkable charities, community groups and individuals whose dedication and compassion improve lives across Northamptonshire. In our 25th anniversary year, the awards provide a wonderful opportunity to shine a light on the people and organisations tackling local challenges and driving positive change across the county.
“We are proud to recognise their achievements and thank them for the difference they make every day. Congratulations to all of this year’s nominees and we look forward to welcoming them to what will be an inspirational and special evening.”
This year's Annual Awards are proudly sponsored by CCLA, one of the UK's leading charity investment fund managers. Their support will help Northamptonshire Community Foundation celebrate the organisations and individuals making a lasting difference within communities across the county.
Unity Trust Bank has kindly sponsored drinks and refreshments for the evening, while Tangerine Red is providing the event programme as an in-kind contribution.
