25 stories to celebrate 25 years of giving across Northamptonshire

Northamptonshire Community Foundation is celebrating its 25th anniversary by shining a spotlight on the charities and organisations helping to transform lives across the county.
Northamptonshire Community Foundation (NCF) has launched Think Global, Act Northamptonshire: 25 Stories of Change - a new series of short films showcasing how local charities and community organisations are helping to tackle some of the biggest challenges facing communities across the county.
Produced in partnership with Northampton Film Festival, the films explore the people, projects and partnerships creating positive change in communities across Northamptonshire, from Northampton, Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough to Towcester, Daventry, Oundle, Crick and county-wide initiatives. All the projects have been received recent grant funding via NCF which is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary, having awarded £25m in grants since its inception in 2001.
Over the coming months, audiences will hear directly from community organisations working on the frontline to support people experiencing poverty, social isolation, poor health, disadvantage and inequality.
Organisations featured in the campaign include Adrenaline Alley, Baby Basics Northampton, Care and Repair Northamptonshire, Crick Allotment Society, Daventry Contact, Daylight Centre, Friends of West Glebe Park, Good Loaf CIC, Groundwork Northamptonshire, Home-Start Wellingborough, Kettering Community Unit (KCU), Northamptonshire Carers, Northampton Hope Centre, Pearls of Peace, Right Resolution CIC, Sakhi Milap, SNVB, South Northants Youth Engagement, Springs Family Centre, Stride & Ride CIC, The Chapel Gym, The Core at Corby Cube, The Teamwork Trust, Victoria Centre, and Volunteer Action Oundle.
Rachel McGrath, Chief Executive of Northamptonshire Community Foundation, said: “As we celebrate 25 years of giving in Northamptonshire, it felt important to shine a light on the organisations that are at the heart of our communities.
"For a quarter of a century, we have had the privilege of supporting charities and community groups that are changing lives every day. Through 25 Stories of Change, we're celebrating their achievements, sharing their stories and recognising the extraordinary contribution they make to people and places across our county.
"These films are a powerful reminder that lasting change happens when communities come together, and we're proud to champion the organisations making that change possible. We are grateful to the Global Challenges Local Solutions programme and the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation for making this project possible, and to all the organisations that have shared their stories with us.”
Becky Carrier, Northampton Film Festival, said: “It has been a privilege to meet so many inspiring organisations and the people whose lives they are impacting. We wanted these films to capture the spirit of the groups, capturing the passion and dedication that exists within communities across Northamptonshire.
“The stories we've filmed show that meaningful change often starts at a local level, and we're excited to help bring those stories to a wider audience.”
The campaign has been supported through the Global Challenges Local Solutions programme, with funding from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation. While rooted in Northamptonshire, the project also highlights how local organisations are contributing to wider efforts to reduce inequalities and improve health and wellbeing within communities.
The films will be released throughout the coming months via Northamptonshire Community Foundation's website and social media channels, offering a unique insight into the organisations, volunteers and communities helping to make Northamptonshire a better place to live, work and thrive.
