Joint statement: Bedford Cross-County Train Crash Appeal

We are deeply saddened by the tragic train crash in Bedfordshire on 19 June 2026, and our thoughts are with everyone affected, particularly those who have been seriously injured and their families.
The Bedford Cross-County Train Crash Appeal is a joint initiative by Bedfordshire and Luton Community Foundation, Northamptonshire Community Foundation and Forever Notts Community Foundation reflecting the cross-county impact of the tragedy.

The appeal has been established and is being administered with guidance from a range of partners, including the National Emergencies Trust, the Fundraising Regulator and the Charity Commission, to ensure donations are handled safely and appropriately.
Funds will be used to support individuals experiencing serious injuries, psychological distress and hardship as a result of the incident.
Bedfordshire and Luton Community Foundation is managing the donation page and will work with the National Emergencies Trust, local emergency and police services to ensure that funds raised are directed to support the individuals and families most affected.
