Peter Borley-Cox was born and grew up in Northamptonshire and joined the board of NCF as a trustee in 2019.
Peter has spent most of his career working in finance roles in the charity and public sector.
After finishing a business degree, he worked for an international relief and development charity for two years, mostly in Mozambique, managing the finance, administration and logistics for large community development programmes.
Since 2000, he has worked for local government in Northamptonshire initially in finance but more recently managing systems and organisational change. He represents employees as a trustee of the Northamptonshire Local Government Pension Scheme and qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant in 2005.
Undertaking a number of voluntary roles in the community sector, Peter occasionally escapes his finance background by singing in choirs or supporting a local theatre group.
