Love Parks Week 2022

As Love Parks Week 2022 comes to an end we wanted to celebrate the amazing green spaces within our county.

Our parks offer fantastic green spaces that provide us with space to play, learn and socialise which in turn makes us feel a part of our communities and provides us with many good health and well-being benefits.

We are pleased that funding provided through Northamptonshire Community Foundation has enabled our county’s green spaces to become core hubs within the communities they serve. Friends of parks have been able to protect and develop the use of the open space for community use as well as hold community festivals and sporting events. Community allotments, forest schools and sensory gardens have been developed to educate and upskill young people whilst ensuring that everyone can access and enjoy green space. And parks have been utilised by community groups to act as relaxed meeting spaces in the natural environment to support people’s socialisation and mental well-being.

Check out Parks in Northamptonshire to find out more about the about the green spaces within the county.
