Generous donors give at Foundation lunch

Lady Juliet Townsend, Northamptonshire Community Foundation Patron and the county’s Lord Lieutenant, hosted an exclusive lunch for the Foundation.
Generous donations and pledges were gratefully received at the gathering at Delapre Abbey. 25 guests attending - including Lord Northampton, David Reynolds, Lady Catherine Morton and businesses such as Tollers, Cave & Sons, Dove Naish Group, Handelsbanken and DFA Law. Guests were served lunch in the gardens of Northampton’s former convent.
Delapre Abbey, one of the county’s best kept secrets, proved a particularly poignant venue for this event since it is a project the Foundation has continued to support over the past few years. In 2006 a £2,000 grant enabled building work to breathe life into the Abbey’s Community Café and we awarded a development grant from our Alchemist Fund of £20,000 in 2007.
