The Rockin’ Roadrunner has been awarded £3,000 from Northamptonshire Community Foundation through the Queen’s Institute Fund.
Established in 2017, the Rockin’ Roadrunner is a non-profit group that holds live music events and club nights specifically for those living with disabilities, their families, friends and carers.
They host quarterly club nights at Northampton’s Roadmender, alongside a range of creative workshops teaching new skills, building confidence and developing relationships.
The group also hosts a yearly mini-festival at Abington Park, featuring live music, entertainment and a variety of stalls offering food and drinks.
The Rockin’ Roadrunner recently received funding from the Foundation through the Queen’s Institute Fund to run a series of workshops taking place in day centres across the county.
