Support Northamptonshire has been awarded £16,030 through Northamptonshire Community Foundation in the form of a Strategic Response Grant from the Coronavirus Response and Recovery Fund.
Support Northamptonshire work in partnership with communities and organisations to provide prevention services that empower communities and support organisations to respond to community needs. They aim to enable local people to take social action that enhances the wellbeing of communities.
The Support Northamptonshire group consists of almost 30 local organisations committed to working together for the benefit of Northamptonshire residents. Member groups include Northampton & District Mind, Spire Homes and Northampton Women’s Aid.
Support Northamptonshire recently received a strategic response grant award through Northamptonshire Community Foundation via the Coronavirus Response and Recovery Fund.
Working in partnership with Pravasi Mandal, the Indian Hindu Welfare Organisation, Wellingborough District Hindu Association and the Northamptonshire Rights and Equality Council, the fund will help to support especially vulnerable residents from local Asian Communities which are disproportionately affected by the outbreak. Support comes in the form of food aid, welfare calls and information and materials in accessible formats and different languages to provide guidance n social distancing and access to support.
