Re:store Northampton has received £3,000 from Northamptonshire Community Foundation through the Coronavirus Response and Recovery Fund
Re:store Northampton aims to address poverty in Northampton through a variety of community projects.
The charity provides a range of services including a foodbank, a community café, an allotment project and several family and child sessions.
Re:store recently received £3,000 through the Coronavirus Response and Recovery Fund to enable their support worker to work longer hours to meet the increased demand for their services presented by the current public health crisis.
Alex Turtle, of Re:store Northampton, said: “The support provided is in connection with cases such as domestic abuse, substance misuse, family issues and extreme poverty. There is a substantial need for this kind of support and our support worker has been extremely busy throughout the past few months, necessitating an increase in hours to meet the increased demand.”
