Northampton Music Festival has been awarded £5,000 by Northamptonshire Community Foundation through the Compton Fund.
The annual music event sees professional and amateur musicians from the local area come together to perform in the town centre. The festival’s aim is to enhance the profile of the town centre and create a stronger community feel through music.
Funding from the Foundation will enable the group to continue to run the festival.
Graham Roberts, Festival Director of Northampton Music Festival said “The festival is now in its eleventh year and will feature at least five stages around the town centre on June 17th. The festival aims to bring the whole community together and enhance the cultural profile of Northampton town centre through music. The live performances will feature artists from a diversity of cultures, together with a rich variety of genres. We would like to thank the Northamptonshire Community Foundation for their generous support which has enabled the festival reach out to a much greater percentage of the general public and facilitate more stages and musicians than ever.
We look forward to seeing this wonderful community project continue to grow and thrive for years to come!”
Northampton Music Festival will take place on Sunday 17 June. If you’d like to find out more about the festival go to https://www.northamptonmusicfestival.co.uk/
