Screen Northants have been awarded £7,758 by Northamptonshire Community Foundation through the First for Wellbeing Fund.
Screen Northants will use their grant to produce a behind-the-scenes documentary of their modern day feature length film, Macbeth. The behind the scenes production team will work with 10 young people aged 10-18 (who are considered disadvantaged), as well as 30 community members, to create exclusive behind-the-scenes content for their adaptation of Macbeth. All of the crew will consist of varying ages, areas and diverse backgrounds.
Becky Adams, Director of Screen Northants said “We're really excited to be running a project for disadvantaged young people and Northants community members, supported by Northamptonshire Community Foundation and BBC Children in Need, to document our upcoming feature film Macbeth. Those taking part will interact with different communities, build up confidence and life skills, and learn more about all the positive things that are happening in Northamptonshire. The films and materials they'll produce will also showcase the diversity and vibrancy of Northamptonshire and its people.”
