NMPAT

Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust (NMPAT) have been awarded £4,980 by Northamptonshire Community Foundation through the Compton Fund for Arts Culture and Heritage Fund.

NMPAT will use their funding to put on 36 vocal workshops, involving 450 young people from Northamptonshire, ages 8–12 years, who will participate in practical vocal workshops, rehearsals and performances which will be facilitated by NMPAT leaders. The workshops will provide high quality music making and coaching for young people.

The project will conclude with a series of three performances featuring all of the young people, who will perform together at the Derngate Theatre, Peterborough Cathedral and the Royal Albert Hall as part of the Music for Youth Proms.

Anna Denny, Fundraising Manager at NMPAT said “The support from Northamptonshire Community Foundation’s Compton Fund for will enable delivery of a series of practical vocal workshops and rehearsals, for approximately 450 young people, aged 8 – 12 years, drawn from throughout Northamptonshire.  For these young people, this will be a once in a lifetime experience, providing inspiration and aspirational opportunities.  We'd like to say thank you to the Foundation and the Compton Fund for allowing us to undertake the project."
