The grant will help to fund the Bradlaugh Fields Community Show 2018 which features local arts & crafts, Falconry, medieval craft and other community activities.

The grant will be used for canal restoration on the Cosgrove section of the Buckingham canal.

The Film Lab - £2,996.97 from the Compton fund
The group will use the funding to purchase editing equipment and improve facilities.

The grant will be used to fund activities for the over 50s including age appropriate keep-fit sessions, yoga, health walks, indoor bowling and hoopla.

Daventry Amateur Athletics Club - £3,000 from David Laing Family fund
The club will use their funding to refurbish the long jump pit & shot putt.

EasyRider Activity Club – £3,000 from the Queen’s Institute Northampton Relief fund
The grant will help to fund the club’s Cycling and Nordic Walking sessions and to maintain the club’s equipment.

Ghana Amalgamation - £2,736.60 from the Constance Travis Endowment fund
The group will use their funding to provide summer activities for young people.

Hollowell Pocket Park Action Committee - £2,400 from Constance Travis Endowment fund
The grant will be used to install new play equipment at the pocket park.

Montague Moments at St Edmunds Church - £1, 295 from Constance Travis Endowment fund
The group will use their funding to bring a team of heritage conservation specialists to carry out conservation maintenance of the Montagu Monuments and to train local volunteers.

Moulton Allotments CIC - £1, 263 from Constance Travis Endowment fund
The grant will enable the group to continue their existing work to create a wellbeing plot for the local surgery patients.

Nether Heyford Playing Fields - £2, 873.86 from David Laing Family fund
The grant will be used to build a Boundary Fence around the playing field.

Phoenix Rising MK - £2,900 from David Laing Family fund
The grant will fund the group’s Phoenix Voices project to develop verbal communication and confidence skills for groups of adults with learning disabilities and difficulties through the medium of singing and performing.

Northampton Gymnastics Academy - £3,000 from the Avon fund for women and girls
The fund will be used to increase the participation of girls in gymnastics at the academy.

Northampton Polish Association - £3,000 from the Queen’s Institute Northampton Relief fund
The group will use their grant to hold their first Northampton Polish Family Picnic to celebrate the Polish art, culture and heritage that exists within the polish community in Northampton.

Oundle Music Trust - £3,000 from the Compton fund
The grant will fund the Oundle On Show weekend being held on 7th-8th July highlighting the wealth of voluntary activity in the town.

Pitsford Pumas Football Club - £3,000 from Constance Travis Endowment fund
The club will use their funding to purchase goals that will be used by the U8, U9 and U10 age groups.

Queens Cross Connect - £3,000 from David Laing Family fund
The funding will be used to put on a female empowerment conference called #Now’s the Time to empower young women to start their working lives with the tools to advance their careers, gain equal pay and to progress.

Relate Northamptonshire - £3,000 from the Avon fund for women and girls
The grant will enable the group to provide intensive one to one therapeutic counselling sessions to women and their families who have previously been victims of or have witnessed domestic and emotional violence.

Spring Boroughs Neighbourhood Forum - £3,000 from Constance Travis Endowment fund
The group will use this grant to help fund the Spring Boroughs Carnival and Festival.

St James and Dallington Youth Club - £3,000 from the Queen’s Institute Northampton Relief fund
The grant will be used to deliver 24 workshops over 24 weeks on themes which explore identity, such as crime and safety, drug and alcohol misuse, safe / appropriate relationships and gangs.

Transition Town Group Northampton - £3,000 from Queen’s Institute Northampton Relief fund
The funding will enable the group to run Northampton’s first Walking & Cycling Festival ‘Stride & Ride’ and cover all of the costs of the event.  

United African Association - £3,000 from Queen’s Institute Northampton Relief fund
The grant will enable the group to deliver a one to one support and advocacy programme.

Unity Leisure - £2,989.40 from Queen’s Institute Northampton Relief fund
The funding will enable the group to hold National Play Day 2018, a community festival held in Abington Park.

Wellingborough Town Football Club - £3,000 from David Laing Family fund
The group will use their funding to purchase catering equipment for use at events.

Rushton Parish Council - £2200 from New Albion Wind Farm fund
The grant will be used to provide a defibrillator for the residents of Rushton parish.

The grant will enable the group to purchase new and additional percussion equipment for use by young people participating in NMPAT lead activities.

The grant will enable the group to continue to provide fortnightly social dances for older people in their community.

The funding will enable the group to continue to provide health and wellbeing activities to the over 50's in the Kings Heath district of Northampton.

The group will use their grant to purchase new equipment for the allotment.

Funding will enable the group to put on a production of Beauty and the Beast to local residents for free.

St Barnabas Social Club - £730 from St Giles Charitable Trust
The club will use their grant to run a new social hub on Monday afternoons to extend their reach to more residents in Spring Boroughs and produce Christmas food packs for people who will be on their own at Christmas.

The Melody Choir - £1,000 from Burton Wold Wind Farm Fund
The choir will use their grant to purchase a professional portable sound system and music stand to be used for performances.

Blisworth Football Club - £1,008 from First for Wellbeing Fund
The group will use their grant to cover the cost of two new sets of goalposts at the football club.

Overstone Park Cricket Club - £1,586 from First for Wellbeing Fund
The funding will enable the cricket club to purchase a dual drive mower that is essential to ensure a safe playing surface for the players.

Cransley Sailing Club - £2,500 from First for Wellbeing Fund
The club will use their grant to convert a ground floor storeroom
into a changing room, toilet and shower which is accessible and suitable for disabled and less abled members and visitors.

The Lewis Foundation - £2,500 from the Compton Fund
The group will use their grant to run quarterly free health and wellbeing events for cancer and post-treatment patients in Northamptonshire.

Shiny Arts - £2,868 from the Compton Fund
The group will use their grant to offer bursaries to young people wishing to join the youth theatre but are unable to due to financial restrictions.

Northamptonshire Black History Association - £3,000 from the Compton Fund
The grant will be used to deliver storytelling workshops titled ‘ Tales of Northants Black Elders’ to educate local people about Northamptonshire’s Black history.

Warts and All Theatre - £3,000 from the Queen’s Institute Fund 
The funding will enable the Young Actors group to take part in a national festival of new writing for young people called Connections. 

Moulton allotments CIC - £3,000 from St Giles Charitable Trust 
The grant will cover the costs of creating three proposed wildlife areas at the allotment.

Mawsley FC - £3,000 from Margaret Giffen Community Fund
The club will use their grant to improve their pitch facilities to enable more children to play football at one time. 

 

October 2017

Groundwork Northamptonshire - £3,000 from the Compton Fund
Funding will enable the group to develop their ‘SASY project’ which aims to empower young females through raising their self-awareness, their self-esteem and their confidence as well as increasing their awareness with regards to their personal safety. 


Cruse Bereavement Care (Northampton Branch) - £3,000 from St Giles Charitable Trust 
The grant will be used to continue to provide a telephone support service by employing a part-time worker to cover the phone-line.


Association of Northamptonshire Supplementary Schools - £2989.9 from First for Wellbeing Fund
The group will use their grant to provide a teaching course to different ethnic communities to improve their teaching and learning environment and learn new, transferable lifelong skills.


Rushton Village Hall – £1,146.36 from New Albion Wind Farm Fund 
The funding will enable the group to purchase three heavy duty recycled plastic picnic benches for the use in the hall for ‘Rushtots’ and Village Afternoon teas.


Moulton Allotments CIC - £1,310 from Constance Travis Endowment Fund
The group will use their grant to develop their ‘Wellbeing Scheme’ to support local residents suffering from physical and mental illnesses and those recovering from surgery. 


Friends of NMPAT Wellingborough Music and Performing Arts Centre – £2,762 from First for Wellbeing Fund
The grant will be used to purchase sound and technical equipment to be used by Centre participants. 


Wellingborough Town Football Club - £3,000 from the Constance Travis Endowment Fund
The Club will use their grant to purchase and install secondary 
fencing at the football ground.


Weedon Football Club - £2,212 from Constance Travis Endowment Fund
The Club’s grant will pay for the installation of 4 portable floodlights for a winter training facility at the club.

Underground Youth club - £1,205 from Margaret Giffen Community Fund
The club will use their grant to employ a sessional youth worker to provide activities for young people at Thrapston Underground Youth Club.

Wellingborough African Caribbean Association - £5,000 from Margaret Giffen Community Fund
The group will use their grant to provide events throughout October and November educating and celebrating black culture and achievements in history.

St. Andrews Short Mat Bowling Club - £3,000 from Margaret Giffen Community Fund
The grant will be used to purchase an electric short mat winding machine to assist with the transportation and deployment of the heavy bowling mats used at the club’s weekly bowling sessions.

Late Developers Photographic Group - £3,000 from Margaret Giffen Community Fund
The group will use their funding to develop their ‘Threads of Life’ project with an interfaith and multicultural group of women who are interested in generating ideas and participating in creative activities.

Eden Park Teenage Parents - £3,000 from Margaret Giffen Community Fund
The group will use their funding to provide a 12 week ‘Freedom for All’ programme to support teenage mothers to develop a healthy relationship with their children.

Daventry Health Rehabilitation Trust - £3,000 from Margaret Giffen Community Fund
Funding will enable the group to continue their seated Tia-Chi sessions and deliver Mindfulness for Health Sessions to increase mobility and improve wellbeing of members. 

Brixworth Music Festival - £3,000 from The Compton Fund 
The grant will contribute to the cost of holding the festival at the end of April which will stage eight concerts over two weeks.

Q Space - £3,000 from Queen’s Institute Northampton Fund 
The group will use their grant to run a weekly LGBTQ youth support group providing weekly activities including crafts, debates and games centring around matters important to the young people. 

Pink Rooster - £3,000 from St Giles Charitable Trust
Funding from the grant will cover the purchase of equipment needed to deliver a Sound Therapy project for people with Dementia.

Daventry Dolphins Swimming Club - £2,500 from First for Wellbeing Fund
The club will use their funding to purchase essential 
land-based training equipment to improve performance standards in swimming.

Nether Heyford Bowls Club - £2.850 from First for Wellbeing Fund
The grant will cover the cost of replacing the clubhouse roof to enable the club to continue to use the building next season.

Earls Barton Music - £500 from First for Wellbeing Fund
Funding will enable the group to provide music workshops for school children and older members of the local community.

Northamptonshire Elite Basketball Club - £1,575 from First for Wellbeing Fund
Funding from the grant will be used to purchase a
kit for all three women's teams ready for the start of the season.

Weedon Sports Association - £1,686 from First for Wellbeing Fund 
Funding will enable the group to host a 
two-day community event showcasing local skills, music and activities which will bring the village community together.

Towcestrians Sports Club - £3,000 from First for Wellbeing Fund
The club will use their grant to replace and repair existing rugby pitch floodlights. 

Breast Friends Northampton - £2,280 from Avon Female Empowerment Fund
The grant awarded will enable the group to deliver twelve wellbeing activity days for people living with cancer including wellness walks at various locations across the County.


The Lewis Foundation - £3,000 from St Giles Charitable Trust
The grant awarded will support the promotion of the charity’s gift pack service to cancer patients undergoing treatment at hospitals across Northamptonshire.

Deafconnect provide services and support groups to Deaf, Deafened, Hard of hearing and Deafblind people. The grant will be used to offer the Deaf community a yearlong project of events, activities, guest speakers, day trips and workshops.
