The Alastair James Memorial Trust was established to commemorate the short life of Alastair James and celebrate the impact he had on those around him.
Alastair James was the younger son of Noel (Jimmy) James OBE MC and his wife Cecilia (née Livingstone).
He was born on 13 May, 1954 in Oxford and was christened at St Giles Church Oxford by his great-uncle, the Rt Rev George Bell, Bishop of Chichester.
Alastair was diagnosed with leukaemia at just 6 years old and he passed away six weeks after his diagnosis, on 15 September, 1960.
Whilst Alastair’s life may have been short, his legacy lives on through The Alastair James Memorial Trust which was set up in 2020, 60 years after his death.
