Community groups benefit from July grant awards

In July 2010 £20,054 was awarded to 11 grassroots groups all across the county by local grant giving charity Northamptonshire Community Foundation – to projects including physical exercise classes for older people, training for volunteer teachers and equipment for a football club in a deprived area.

In June 2010 £11,590 was awarded to 8 grassroots groups all across the county by local grant giving charity Northamptonshire Community Foundation – to projects including Tai Chi classes for older people, swimming lessons for Muslim women and a baton twirling club. The Foundation distributes grants on behalf of local funders including Grassroots Grants and the Constance Travis Trust.
