Become a Friend of the Foundation and create a lasting pot of money for the people of Northamptonshire

Northamptonshire Community Foundation helps businesses, trusts and individuals do their charitable giving effectively and efficiently – by linking donors to the causes closest to their hearts and to the people most in need within this county.

Our new Friends of the Foundation scheme is designed to inspire local businesses and individuals to provide much needed support to grassroots projects and community groups.

By making an annual donation, our Friends are able to play a pivotal role in the creation of an endowment for Northamptonshire, a pot of money which will benefit generations to come.

Levels of giving and benefits

The two basic levels of giving have been set at £2,000 and £4,000 a year – although some businesses choose to give more.

Friends of the Foundation are entitled to a range of benefits:

  • Networking events: Network with like-minded people at Foundation receptions, lunches and other events throughout the year.  There will be at least one additional event organised for Friends who donate at the higher level.
  • Positive signposting: If and when you are inundated with charitable requests you can re-direct organisations to apply to the Foundation for funding.  We can provide you with leaflets to send out to groups which contact you.
  • Communication: We will keep you informed of the difference your donation makes by sending two newsletters/web letters and an annual review each year.  We can also promote your news via our weekly community eblasts and website.
  • Staff engagement: We can also organise project visits for your staff and link you up with causes you care most about.
  • PR: The region’s media are keen to cover Friends of the Foundation.  On becoming a Friend you will be presented with a friendship certificate and benefit from positive publicity and media coverage
