The Laing Foundation has given its support to the Community Foundation over many years and their continued generosity has provided new office accommodation at 18 Albion Place, Northampton NN1 1UD.
Victoria Miles, Chief Executive said “We are delighted to be the new residents of 18 Albion Place through the generosity of the Laing Foundation. This spacious building will enable us to continue to grow and support local groups within our county for generations to come and we thank our new Patron, David Laing and the Laing Foundation for making this move possible. We also thank Wilson Browne who provided office furniture, desks, chairs and storage cabinets.
Victoria added: “The Foundation has awarded over £1 million to 280 local community groups, charities and individuals during the financial year April 2014 to March 2015 and as the leading independent grant-making charity in the area we are proud to have been able to deliver this level of support. This move signifies a new chapter in our future development.
The Foundation is dedicated to delivering this vital support which improves the lives of our county’s most disadvantaged people and communities. Child poverty, unemployment, homelessness, domestic violence and social isolation are just some of the issues we strive to tackle each year and the growth of our endowment to over £7.5 million will help us achieve this both now and for generations to come”.
