To equip a gym for people with drugs, alcohol or mental health problems.

To purchase equipment to expand activities into coaching, tournaments and national leagues.


Northampton Banshees Korfball Club    £2,714.67   

To provide equipment to help the club start up – for training, coaching and playing matches.


Old Village Hall Charity    £7,750.00
   

To provide equipment to establish a film club for regular theatrical productions presented by Northants Touring Arts.

Sikh Community Centre and Youth Club    £7,600.00   

To purchase equipment and resources requested by young people attending the 2 youth clubs to keep them occupied during the winter months.

Bugbrooke Sports and Community Centre    £10,000.00   

To provide a multi-use games area to encourage children and young people to engage in positive physical activity.


Fernie Fields Sports and Social Club    £6,000.00
   

To improve security at Fernie Fields as part of an ongoing development project by erecting a boundary fence.


Inspiration FM    £20,000.00   

To purchase new radio broadcast studio equipment to carry out a 5 year community radio broadcasting license.


Kairos Centre    £20,002.61
   

To equip the Centre’s kitchen to be used by visiting groups and agencies and allow it to host a café to attract local residents.


Talking With Hands  £7,999.00
   

To purchase equipment to enable a wide range of activities to take place for young people with hearing difficulties to help them develop positively.


 

June 2009

Daventry Volunteer Centre    £10,000   

To purchase a second vehicle to extend the Brushes and Spades project where volunteers help isolated elderly and disabled people with gardening, decorating and DIY tasks.

 

Northampton Arts Collective    £19,090   

This bid is for capital funding to upgrade several systems relating to the premises of the Fish market Gallery and for some essential repairs to the building.

 

Norton Village Community Association    £4905   

To protect the Village Hall stonework from damp, re-decorate the interior and build new storage cupboards.

 

Towcestrians Sports Club    £4000   

Purchase of a second hand triple bladed ride on mower to maintain sports pitches to an acceptable playing standard.

 

Yardley Gobion Recreation Centre    £4500   

Refurbishment of Toilets (Male & Female).  Replacement of emergency lighting system (Existing now obsolete due to age and changes in legislation).  Existing facilities are now over 20 years old and need updating.

 

Northamtponshire ACRE - £10,000

To provide disability access and levelling pathways at the ACRE centre in Hunsbury.

Doddridge Centre    £18,736   

For refurbishment of the Centre to include flooring, carpets, blinds and decorating


Long Buckby Children’s Recreation Ground    £5,000   

To purchase play equipment to stimulate 6 to 12 year-olds and satisfy RoSPA and NPFA play standards on this neglected site.

 
MOSH (Mears Ashby, Overstone, Sywell and Hardwick)  £3,000  To provide a children and families worker to support and develop existing community provisions in this needy area

Obelisk Spinney Pocket Park  £6,030   

To construct a circular surfaced pathway to improve access for the public to visit the pocket park

Threshold Studios (Projects) Ltd    £9,700   

To refurbish the premises by providing security video door entry system and provide live cinema multimedia arts equipment and lighting circuit upgrade

Dostiyo Asian Women & Girls Association    £5,450   

To improve the quality of their services by refurbishing the community centre


Greens Norton Village Hall Management Committee    £2,500
   

To refurbish the Village Hall after water damage – want more information about sporting and cultural useage of the Hall and if could have claimed for damage through insurance - before grant made

 

January 2009

Artists Sanctuary    £4578 

Expansion of current studios into ground floor of building, providing an additional 5 Studio units for local artists.


Dallington Lawn Tennis Club    £5000   

To replace existing court fencing surround on court 4 (closest to pavilion).


Headway    £8140   

Building of a garden which is user friendly for people with disabilities, so that they can enjoy the outdoors which is safe for them and to encourage them to do some activities outside.


Inspiration FM    £3,555.58   

The activities will include the repair and restoration of the ground floor kitchen roof that is leaking at present and to repair the adjoining men toilets.

 

Sea Houses    £4996   

There are two strands to our project, video and audio equipment for creative workshops for able bodied and disabled youngsters and a mobile film cinema for screenings in the community.


Sikh Community Centre and Youth Club    £4995    ‘Community Gym‘; SCCYC’s remit is health this year, we aim is to provide exercise/sports activities to all age groups and backgrounds.

Bants Lane Allotment Association    £5000   

The allotment site at Bants Lane has no formal place - the grant is for a steel secure office.


Blisworth Village Hall and Playing Field Association  £10,000 
  

To install a Multi Use Games Area on the Blisworth Playing field.


Brixworth Cricket Club  £5000  

To create a training area that will primarily be used to train young people in the art of playing cricket.


Daventry Area Community Transport  £20,000

DACT needs to purchase a new minibus, this will enable us to provide transport to many different Community Groups.


Drayton Grange Community Association - £6000   

To install an 'All Weather Play Surface' to part of the community centre's enclosed garden for use by the nursery and to attract children's birthday parties to the centre.


Friends of Delapre Abbey  £20,000 

Funding to enable us to launch an exciting new outdoor learning experience in and around the grounds of Delapre Abbey in Spring 2009.


Grange Park Cricket Club  £5000 

To purchase a synthetic permanent playing surface to allow our under 11’s, 13’s, 15’s and 17’s to practice and play on.


New Pastures Church  £4357.30 
 

To purchase equipment for use at the youth club, Pastures Community Centre and entertaining the elderly, sick residents of Turn Furlong Home


Silverstone Recreational Association    £10,000   

An extension to the existing Sports Hall consisting of a separate Reception area and new Disabled toilet.

 

South Court Environmental Ltd    £20,000

The intent is to upgrade infrastructure directly for community events / activities (food-related:  fire and cooking)


The Southern Quarter Development Ltd    £20,000    

To fund theatrical lighting, furniture and air conditioning in the REC facility at Far Cotton, which houses a library, medical services, pharmacy, sports changing rooms and community centre.
