Matched Funding Attracts Generous Donations

Generous companies and individuals have stepped forward to support Northamptonshire Community Foundation in its bid to raise more than £1.2 million for community groups and projects in the county.

In July 2008 the Foundation won the Government’s Grassroots Grants competition to distribute a new pot of funding to county community groups and also benefit from match funding, which will build this £1.8million endowment for the benefit of groups in need now and for generations to come.

In the light of this win many local companies signed up to become Friends of the Foundation and their donation has been matched pound for pound by the Government. A generous early donation was also been made by Lord Northampton.
